Data Migration | Integrations | Reporting | Public Sector Programmes
Own the data. Shape the solution. Deliver Oracle Cloud at scale. We’re looking for a Senior Oracle Fusion Technical Consultant to play a pivotal role in delivering complex, enterprise-scale Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and HCM programmes. This is a hands‑on senior technical role with data migration at its core, complemented by meaningful ownership across integrations, reporting, and analytics enablement. You’ll work at the heart of some of the UK’s most highly governed programmes, designing and delivering robust technical solutions that stand up to audit, assurance, and real‑world operational demands. This is a role for someone who enjoys leading technical workstreams, solving complex data challenges, and setting the bar for technical quality — while still being close to the technology.
The Role
- Design, build, and assure end‑to‑end technical solutions across Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and HCM.
- Take ownership of data migration strategy and execution, ensuring accuracy, integrity, security, and traceability throughout.
- Contribute across integrations, reporting, and analytics readiness, working closely with architects, functional leads, and business stakeholders.
- Operate confidently within structured, assurance‑led public sector environments, where quality and compliance matter as much as delivery speed.
- Act as a technical authority within the team, mentoring junior consultants and driving continuous improvement.
What You’ll Be Doing
Data Migration (Primary Focus)
- Lead the end‑to‑end design and delivery of data migrations from legacy platforms (including Oracle E‑Business Suite R12) into Oracle Fusion ERP and HCM.
- Define data mappings, transformations, and validation rules using agreed delivery artefacts (e.g. CV040, Data Migration Catalogue).
- Build and automate ETL processes using CloudBridge, OIC, SQL/PLSQL, FBDI, and HDL.
- Develop reusable utilities and automation to optimise iterative migration cycles.
- Partner with business SMEs on data profiling, cleansing, and enrichment.
- Produce reconciliation and variance reporting to ensure data completeness and accuracy.
- Plan and execute cutover activities, including sequencing, validation, and post‑load verification.
- Apply data security, masking, and retention controls in line with programme and regulatory requirements.
Integrations
- Design and support integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) across Fusion SaaS, EPM, and third‑party systems.
- Build interfaces using BICC, FBDI, HDL, and Oracle SaaS APIs (REST/SOAP).
- Configure secure connectivity (SFTP, certificates, OCI Vault), with robust error handling and retry mechanisms.
- Collaborate with architecture and functional teams to align technical design with business processes.
Reporting & Analytics Enablement
- Develop and validate reconciliation and control reporting using BI Publisher (BIP) and OTBI.
- Support analytics readiness by working with Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) teams to ensure data lineage and traceability.
- Build validation and assurance reports to support SIT, UAT, and dress rehearsal cycles.
Governance & Quality
- Adhere to technical standards, governance models, and audit frameworks across all deliverables.
- Conduct peer reviews and manage artefacts through Git / VBS repositories.
- Support SIT, UAT, Dress Rehearsals, and post‑go‑live assurance activities.
- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to the evolution of migration and integration best practice.
What You’ll Bring
- Extensive experience delivering Oracle Fusion Cloud technical solutions (ERP and/or HCM).
- Strong track record delivering large‑scale Oracle Cloud data migrations.
- Hands‑on expertise with FBDI, HDL, SQL/PLSQL, and Excel‑based data mapping.
- Working knowledge of OIC, BIP, OTBI, and BICC.
- Solid understanding of Oracle Fusion data models (AP, AR, PO, GL, HR, Payroll).
- Experience managing multi‑cycle migrations, reconciliations, and cutover.
- Familiarity with OCI services including Object Storage, ATP/ADW, and Vault.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Experience working in assurance‑led, public sector programme environments.
- Experience with Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) and/or Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC).
- Exposure to Oracle Visual Builder, OPA, or APEX.
- Knowledge of UK public sector delivery environments and UK Government Cloud controls.
- Familiarity with ETL accelerators and automation frameworks.
- Awareness of data security and assurance frameworks (e.g. NCSC CAF, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus).
- Oracle certifications in Cloud Platform, OIC, or Data Integration.
