Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Work with C#/.NET components as part of the application backend where required.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs.
- Develop and maintain database logic using Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL).
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure high code quality.
- Collaborate within a Scrum Team, actively participating in all Agile ceremonies.
- Work with GIS technologies such as the ESRI SDK and ArcGIS suite to integrate spatial data and mapping capabilities into applications.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of .NET experience (.NET Core or .NET Framework).
- 2+ years of Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) experience.
- Writing and optimising queries, stored procedures, and database design.
- GIS & Mapping Experience
- Experience with GIS tools and mapping libraries, particularly: Esri / ArcGIS JS SDK (strongly preferred). Alternatively: MapBox GL JS, OpenLayers, Leaflet, or similar.
- Familiarity with spatial data formats (GeoJSON, WKT, Shapefiles, etc.).
- Experience consuming and publishing map services (WMS, WFS, ArcGIS REST services).
- Understanding of coordinate reference systems and spatial projections.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise / ArcGIS Online / Portal for ArcGIS.
- Exposure to spatial SQL (geometry/geography types in MSSQL).
- Experience with version control (Git / TFS).
- Knowledge of RESTful API design and integration.
- Familiarity with Agile / Scrum delivery environments.
