The Firm
Recognised by Legal 500 and Chambers UK, the firm is known for its expertise across construction, commercial litigation, corporate, employment, projects, and property. With over 300 staff across multiple offices, they are Tier 1 ranked for social housing work and also advise private developers, pension funds, build-to-rent operators, and investment funds.
The Team
Real Estate is at the heart of the business. The team includes 15 dedicated partners working on complex property transactions ranging from small developments through to major regeneration projects. Their deals are regularly reported in the legal press and industry publications, with several high-profile matters shortlisted for awards.
The Role
This position will specialise in site acquisition and development projects, covering the full lifecycle of property matters – from negotiating development agreements and conditional contracts to resolving title issues and completing transactions.
You’ll also gain exposure to larger-scale projects including joint ventures, regeneration schemes, leisure developments, and care projects.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Running your own caseload of property development matters.
- Drafting and negotiating development agreements, option agreements, and conditional contracts.
- Reviewing title issues, planning consents, and section 106 agreements.
- Preparing reports on title and advising clients on structuring deals (SDLT, VAT).
- Drafting and negotiating leases, transfers, deeds of easement, and deeds of release.
- Supporting senior partners while also mentoring junior fee earners.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring deadlines are met.
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- 2–5 years’ PQE in real estate with strong experience in site acquisition and development.
- A strong academic background (2:1 degree or above preferred).
- Solid drafting and negotiation skills, with commercial awareness.
- Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Familiarity with Registered Providers is an advantage but not essential.
Why Apply?
This is a chance to work on high-value, high-profile development projects with a team recognised as a leader in the market. You’ll gain hands-on responsibility, exposure to major clients, and the opportunity to develop your career with a supportive and ambitious firm.
