We are working with a leading law firm with a strong presence in real estate and development, looking to appoint a Paralegal to join a specialist Post-Exchange team in London. This role is ideal for someone with at least 18 months’ continuous experience in a similar environment, who thrives in a high‑volume, process‑driven setting and wants to build deeper expertise in the later stages of property transactions.
The Role
- Handling files from exchange of contracts through to completion and post‑completion registration
- Managing key deadlines across SDLT submissions, AP1 applications, and Land Registry processes
- Preparing and submitting SDLT returns within statutory timeframes
- Drafting and submitting AP1 applications and resolving Land Registry requisitions
- Reviewing and interpreting priority searches
- Maintaining accurate workflow trackers and ensuring deadline‑driven delivery
- Liaising with clients and internal stakeholders to provide progress updates
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 18 months’ continuous experience in a post‑exchange or similar property role
- Strong understanding of the post‑exchange to registration process
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and high volumes of work
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, including diary and workflow management
- Confident communicator with a proactive, solutions‑focused approach
