We're working with a leading, Legal 500 and Chambers UK ranked law firm to find a Sales & Resales Paralegal to join their Real Estate & Projects team in London. The team sits right at the heart of the firm, with 18 partners working across a broad range of property transactions, from social housing Registered Providers and care homes through to private developers, on schemes ranging from a handful of units to thousands.
This is a great opportunity for a paralegal with solid residential property experience to take ownership of their own caseload, broaden their exposure and develop within a firm that genuinely invests in training its people.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing your own caseload of high-volume property sales, covering both shared ownership and outright sales
- Handling assignments of leasehold properties and staircasing matters
- Dealing with all aspects of post completion, including requisitions
- Downloading office copies from the Land Registry and reviewing title documents
- Setting up and maintaining online document rooms
- Providing clients with regular progress reports and invoices
- Managing multiple deadlines across a variety of transactions at once
- Communicating clearly with clients and third parties, and supporting fee earners across the team
What we're looking for:
- A minimum of 12 months' continuous experience in a similar role, with solid drafting skills
- Experience with shared ownership transactions, including assignments and staircasing
- Experience with leasehold transactions
- Confidence using the Land Registry portal and reviewing title documents
- Experience handling post completion
- A law degree or equivalent (or appropriate conversion)
- Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to work with limited supervision
- Competent across MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Nice to have:
- Experience working with developers and/or housing associations (traditional RPs or 'for profit' providers)
- Right to buy / right to acquire, lease extensions and related property work
- Residential acquisitions and disposals
- Completing SDLT returns

- Location: London, hybrid (2 to 3 days a week in the office)
