We are working with a highly regarded London law firm to find an experienced real estate solicitor to join their stock rationalisation team, one of the most active and well-regarded practices in the sector. This is a genuinely interesting seat. You will work across the full lifecycle of stock rationalisation projects: from negotiating and drafting stock transfer contracts and unit leases through to reporting on title and legal completion. There is also scope to support on broader property work including joint ventures, site acquisitions and disposals.
The firm acts for a wide range of clients, registered providers of social housing, care homes, pension funds, build-to-rent operators and private developers, on transactions that regularly attract industry and national press coverage.
What the role involves:
- Drafting and negotiating stock transfer agreements, unit leases, transfers, deeds of assignment and deeds of easement.
- Producing reports on title and advising on title issues.
- Liaising with management companies and insurers.
- Running weekly project calls with clients and counterparties.
- Supporting and supervising junior fee earners.
- Contributing to the growth of client relationships across the team.
What they are looking for:
- 1–3 years PQE in real estate, with direct experience of stock rationalisation work.
- Strong communication skills and confidence with client contact.
- Commercial awareness, high attention to detail and the ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision.
