We are looking for a motivated and commercially minded Account Manager to manage, develop and grow sales of our retail product range across Northern England and Scotland. You will be responsible for building strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities and supporting our continued growth in this key territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sell, promote and support our retail product portfolio within your designated region
  • Drive growth through strong product knowledge across all of our product categories and a clear understanding of the market
  • Work with our network of distribution partners and wholesalers to help ensure maximum fulfilment and product penetration into retail customers
  • Add value for customers through consulting, training and merchandising support
  • Work closely with the Sales Manager to manage regional distributors and buying groups
  • Identify, prospect and develop new business opportunities
  • Analyse market trends and monitor competitor activity
  • Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events and customer meetings
  • Accurately report sales activity, performance and forecasts to the Sales Manager
  • Analyse customer performance and sales results to maximise opportunities

Profile

  • Friendly, professional and commercially focused, with strong communication skills
  • Well organised, able to work independently and manage your own territory effectively
  • Based within the Northern England or Scotland region
  • Customer and results oriented, with a proactive and resilient approach
  • Able to identify opportunities, take initiative and follow through
  • Passionate about animals and the industry
  • Previous experience in a similar sales or account management role within a related sector is highly desirable
  • Confident using MS Office, particularly Excel
  • A genuine affinity with animals
