Job Description

  • We are looking for a
  • Subscription & Growth Lead to take end-to-end commercial ownership of

Golf Pass across our International markets.

This is a key role focused on driving the commercial performance and continued evolution of Golf Pass, bringing together Product, Marketing, Operations, Support and Finance to grow membership, engagement, retention and recurring revenue.

You will set the strategy, identify the highest-impact growth opportunities and mobilise cross-functional teams to continually improve the member proposition and subscription performance.

Combining strong commercial judgement with customer insight and an understanding of subscription economics, you will turn opportunities into clear priorities and measurable outcomes across multiple markets.

This is an ownership-led, hands-on role.

You will be accountable for Golf Pass International’s commercial outcomes, using data and insight to set priorities, identify opportunities and drive initiatives forward.

You will work closely with specialist teams across Product, Marketing/CRM, Operations, Support and Finance, while taking on direct analysis and execution where needed to deliver results.

Key responsibilities include;

  • 1. Commercial strategy & ownership
  • Define and execute the Golf Pass International strategy, aligned with company goals, budgets and wider Golf Now priorities.
  • Own the commercial scorecard for Golf Pass, including member growth, conversion, activation, engagement, renewal, churn and subscription revenue.
  • Own forecasting, budget performance and the commercial business cases for major Golf Pass initiatives.
  • Act as the internal subject matter expert and single point of accountability for Golf Pass International performance.
  • 2. Proposition, pricing & product evolution
  • Own the evolution of the Golf Pass membership proposition, including benefits, pricing, packaging, promotions and market-specific adaptations.
  • Develop a clear view of what members and prospective members value in each market and use this to shape proposition priorities.
  • Partner with Product to define, prioritise and measure subscription features and member benefits, supported by clear commercial cases.
  • Ensure the International proposition reflects local customer behaviour and market dynamics rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.
  • 3. Growth, engagement & retention
  • Identify the biggest opportunities across acquisition, join conversion, engagement, renewal and churn.
  • Develop and prioritise retention and proactive churn-reduction initiatives.
  • Partner with Marketing and CRM teams on lifecycle strategy, segmentation, promotional plans and member communications, with clear objectives and measurement.
  • Assess how Golf Pass membership influences wider Golf Now customer value, including booking behaviour and marketplace engagement where relevant.
  • 4. Insight, experimentation & optimisation
  • Use member behavior, funnel data, customer feedback and market insight to identify performance gaps and growth opportunities.
  • Define hypotheses, success measures and post-test recommendations for major experiments and initiatives.
  • Turn performance reporting into clear actions, priorities and decisions rather than reporting activity alone.
  • 5. Cross-functional leadership & delivery
  • Align Product, Marketing, Operations, Support and Finance around a focused set of Golf Pass priorities and outcomes.
  • Drive resolution of systemic issues affecting the subscription lifecycle, including billing, renewal, member communications and support experience, through the appropriate functional owners.
  • Create clear briefs, business cases and prioritisation recommendations to secure delivery resources and maintain momentum.
  • Present performance, opportunities, risks and recommendations to senior leadership on a regular basis.

Qualifications

  • Minimum mandatory requirements
  • Experience owning or commercially managing a consumer subscription, membership or recurring-revenue proposition.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data and customer insight to identify performance opportunities and translate them into commercial actions and experiments.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Marketing/CRM, Finance and Operations to deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Strong commercial and analytical capability, including forecasting, prioritisation and business-case development.
  • Clear, confident communication skills with the ability to present performance, recommendations and trade-offs to senior stakeholders.

Desirable experience

  • Knowledge of golf or the golf industry; helpful, but not essential.
  • CRM and lifecycle marketing experience, including segmentation and retention programmes.
  • Experience in digital consumer products, marketplaces, travel, leisure, fitness, loyalty or other membership-led businesses.
  • Familiarity with subscription billing platforms and recurring-revenue operating models.
  • Experience using SQL or similar data-querying tools to independently access, interrogate and analyze data to support commercial decision-making.
  • Additional Information
