The Vice President, Human Resources will provide HR leadership to CNBC International and other Versant International businesses, predominately within EMEA and APAC, and other international locations where our employees are deployed or based. The role will be responsible for leading and managing the international HR function, with a focus on employee relations, organizational effectiveness and change management. This position will be based out of our London operations in St Paul's, London and will report into the SVP of Human Resources, Versant News Division, based in New York, USA. The role will require some travel to Singapore and other locations as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic guidance and hands-on leadership across multiple jurisdictions for all international employee matters.
  • Partner with business leaders internationally and in the US to support organisational goals, workforce planning, and change initiatives.
  • Provide direction and guidance on employee relations matters, including complex and sensitive cases.
  • Act as the escalation point for high-risk ER issues, partnering closely with stakeholders.
  • Work with internal and external legal partners across multiple jurisdictions to ensure compliance with local labour laws and best practices.
  • Lead, develop, and manage an international HR team.
  • Provide support, coaching, and direction to extended HR community to ensure consistent HR standards and practices.

Compensation, Benefits & Payroll

  • Partner with Compensation & Benefits teams to ensure the international benefits proposition is competitive, compliant, and fit for purpose across markets.
  • Provide oversight and input on benefits programs for international populations.

Talent & Workforce Planning

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to align on international talent acquisition strategies across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Provide guidance on workforce planning, organisational design, and hiring strategies in line with business needs and local market considerations.
  • Support leadership teams on succession planning and talent development for international roles.

Immigration

  • Work closely with external immigration partners and internal Payroll, Legal, and HR teams to ensure compliance in international payroll and employment arrangements, acting as the escalation point for complex cases.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree in Human Resources or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant Human Resources partnering experience including change management and employee relations.
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United Kingdom.

  • Background in employment law or employment relations is highly desirable, but not essential.
