The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.

Working under minimum supervision, reporting to the Stores Supervisor, the Stores Operative is responsible for ensuring all tasks issued by the Stores Supervisor are carried out correctly and in good time. Including but not limited to Aftersales Goods IN/ OUT, Service engineer parts order shipping, and MHE operations.

The role will also include the carrying out of any other stores related tasks requested of them by the Stores Manager.

Areas of responsibility will include goods in/out, spare parts picking/packing/distribution, stores warehouse and external storage areas.

Responsible for:

  • Ensure at all times Aftersales Parts orders and Parts required by Versalift service engineers are supplied in the correct state and in the required timeline
  • The maintenance and control of aftersales parts stock records on primarily Company Business Systems or other associated documents and spreadsheets
  • Provide regularly feedback to the stores supervisor and service department regarding shortfalls or areas for improvement.
  • Following the Versalift UK procedure for booking in goods required for Aftersales parts order.
  • Ensuring the security of the Stores Area, challenge any unauthorised Personnel
  • Ensuring no parts are issued without the relevant paperwork.
  • Regular communication between Stores and Supply Chain regarding stock levels, parts shortages, and priorities.
  • The picking of parts for works orders and preparing for production and identification of shortages to Supply Chain.
  • Ensuring all work undertaken in Stores and outside goods storage areas complies with relevant Health and Safety and Environmental legislation and policy
  • The completion of new product/process training when necessary.
  • The internal and external stores housekeeping as required by Versalift standards and policies.
  • The completion of other tasks as may be reasonably requested by the Company.
  • The training of existing/new Stores team members in new processes/procedures.
  • With guidance from the Stores Supervisor or Service Department, the identification and storage location of stock components within internal and external storage areas.
  • The picking and packing of spare part orders for dispatch and co-ordination of collection.
