Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Electrical Design Engineer, located in Burton Latimer. The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for providing technical advice by helping to develop Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Technical Instructions (TIs). Specifically, to provide and maintain electrical design information and instructions to the Production team. Continuous checking of the conformity to requirements for mounting lift platforms onto an array of vehicles in accordance with BS EN:280 Mobile elevating work platforms, further applicable standards and road regulations. Close cooperation with the international design team to determine best in class solutions. Full life cycle design accountability from working with the customer(s) and sales team to capture design requirements for customizations through to supporting the service team. BOM compilation onto an Epicor Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool, ensuring BOM accuracy to enable Right First-Time production. Experience of working in accordance with UKCE (now CA) marking standards.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Electrical Design and Design Engineering
- Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering and knowledge of electricity principles
- Detail-oriented approach with excellent problem-solving skills
- Experience with CAD software and familiarity with industry standards and regulations
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related technical field
- Experience in the access platform or related industries is advantageous
