Estimator required to join one of Bristol's leading contractors, pricing a varied portfolio of projects typically valued 5m- 10m, with larger schemes up to 25m. Seeking a commercially astute construction professional with strong tendering experience and a proactive approach.
- Prepare competitive tenders for new build and refurbishment projects
- Produce accurate cost plans and tender submissions
- Review drawings, specifications and contract documents
- Obtain and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Identify value engineering opportunities
- Attend pre-tender and client meetings
- Assess project risks and opportunities
- Work closely with operational and commercial teams
- Support bid presentations and negotiations
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners
Requirements
- Proven Estimating experience with a main contractor
- Experience pricing projects from 5m- 10m, ideally up to 25m
- New build and refurbishment project experience
- Strong commercial and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office
