An established and growing specialist construction contractor is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager to join its senior leadership team. Operating across a range of new build construction projects, this role will suit an ambitious individual looking to take ownership of multiple sites, lead project teams and play a key role in the continued growth of a successful business.
Applicants should have a strong background working for a main contractor and a proven track record delivering new build projects from inception through to completion.
Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple construction projects simultaneously
- Manage Site Managers and project delivery teams
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Monitor programme performance and resource requirements
- Support commercial teams with project reporting and cost control
- Drive quality standards across all projects
- Attend progress meetings and provide regular updates to senior management
- Identify and manage project risks
- Contribute to business growth and operational improvements
Requirements
- Experience as a Contracts Manager, Senior Project Manager or Project Manager within the construction sector
- Main contractor background is essential
- Proven experience delivering new build projects
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
- Commercially aware with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Full UK driving licence
