Position Overview:
The primary role of the Operations Field Services staff is to follow good engineering practices and processes to ensure the EMEA Operations Team’s tasks and key results are met in a timely manner, to an acceptable quality standard and within budget.
The Operations Field Services staff are a key role within the EMEA Operations Team, responsible for delivering new project tasks, corrective maintenance tasks, and routine maintenance tasks.
As an Operations Engineer:
- Be a collaborative, active and positive member of the EMEA Operations team who operates in alignment with Verra Mobility\’s Values.
- Perform requested Operations Team tasks, including the delivery of new project tasks, corrective maintenance, and routine maintenance.
- Be accountable for delivering assigned work packages/tasks to ensure business objectives and key results are achieved.
- Prepare Operations documentation as required.
- Adhere to local standards, rules and regulations.
- Adhere to internal quality assurance requirements.
- Identify and recommend improvements to systems and processes to improve business efficiency and quality of the product.
- Work cooperatively and collaboratively with all Verra Mobility staff, customers and suppliers.
- Liaise with customers and other departments as required.
- Attend and contribute to team meetings and training sessions.
- Install, commission, test, analyze faults and maintain Verra Mobility systems.
- Engage in electrical, mechanical and civil design activities as required.
- Conduct software, hardware and systems testing.
- Manage small projects/tasks, including budgeting, scheduling, and quality control.
- Track and report on the budget and schedule for assigned projects/tasks.
- Undertake other duties as reasonably directed.
- Document tasks using IT systems or paperwork.
- Attain any requested qualifications or training.
- Handle company property, including tools and vehicles, with respect and maintain them appropriately.
- Conduct all activities safely and responsibly, including maintaining a clean driving record.
- Comply with Redflex WHSEQ policy and procedures.
- Adhere to all Verra Mobility policies, standards, processes, procedures, and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- A diploma or equivalent industry experience in a technology field.
- Highways technology and/or speed enforcement experience.
- A current, valid and unrestricted driver’s licence.
- A current and valid passport for work-related travel.
- Capable of passing and maintaining role-specific background checks including Driver History, Criminal History, and Pre-Employment Medical examinations (including Drug and Alcohol testing).
- Capable of attaining required certification and completing necessary training for the role and tasks.
