This fast-growing AI company has raised nine-figure funding from tier-one investors. Its agents run in production every day, completing multi-step workflows with human oversight. This is real work with real consequences, not a demo or a roadmap slide. They’re now hiring several AI engineers to take it to the next level.

Remote, UK (UK working hours). UK right to work required.
Salary:
£90k - £130k + equity options | Permanent
The Opportunity
You’ll join a small team of two or three engineers at the heart of the company’s AI platform. You’ll set the patterns for how agentic systems are built rather than inherit someone else’s, with real ownership and the freedom to move between product areas as the company grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Turn a growing set of live agent workflows into a platform the whole company builds on
- Build the evals and tracing that every release has to passDecide where a model should make the call, and where code or a person should take over
- Spot the next big problem and own it end to end
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years as a software engineer with a strong backend focus, ideally TypeScript/Node (Python also considered; Postgres a plus)
- At least one agent system you’ve built and put in front of real users, and you can talk honestly about what broke: latency, cost, hallucinations, failure modes
- Evals you’ve written and actually trust
- Recent experience at a fast-growing product company or AI-first startup
- Coding agents are part of how you build every day
Nice to Have:
founder or early-stage startup experience, AI side projects, or shared agent tooling that other engineers use.
Not the right fit if
your background is ML research, model training, data science or MLOps, your agent work never got past prototypes or client proofs of concept, or you’re mostly frontend.
