About the opportunity:
We\'re working with a well-established UK manufacturer and distributor, known for quality and reliability. They\'re looking for a Warehouse Shift Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, lead supervisors, and ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective warehouse performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and structure daily warehouse shifts.
  • Lead team talks and communicate with logistics and customer service.
  • Monitor stock levels, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues.
  • Check timekeeping and oversee daily workforce performance.
  • Support invoice and loading error investigations.
  • Work closely with production and logistics for smooth operations.
  • Help manage yard traffic alongside logistics.
  • Ensure health & safety compliance, including PPE, equipment checks, and accident reporting.
  • Handle disciplinaries, investigations, and support ISO requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience in a warehouse management or supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills.
  • Problem-solving ability and resilience under pressure.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • IT literacy (Sage & Microsoft packages desirable).
  • Knowledge of goods in/out and loading operations.
  • Minimum GCSE English and Maths.
  • Counterbalance FLT licence (desirable).
