We are presenting an exciting opportunity for a Nursery Practitioner to join the team. You will join a collaborative and supportive team who encourage new ideas and champions ongoing learning and professional growth.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and education for children in the nursery setting.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a supportive learning environment.
- Manage daily routines including meal times, play sessions, and nap times to ensure children’s needs are met.
- Observe and assess children’s progress, maintaining accurate records to track their development.
- Foster positive relationships with children to encourage their confidence and independence.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised nursery environment that meets health and safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with the nursery team to create an inclusive atmosphere for all children.
Requirements:
- A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
- Have a thorough understanding and working knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding requirements.
- Ability to create an engaging and stimulating environment.
- Ability to form and maintain relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Additional completed training courses are desirable.
- Ability to work as part of a team whilst demonstrating initiative as needed.
Benefits:
- A competitive salary of £22,006 – £25,272 per annum dependent on skills, knowledge, and experience.
- Working Hours: 40 hours across Monday-Friday (Shifts: 07:30-16:30, 08:00-17:00, 08:00-18:00 with half a day off)
