About the opportunity: Are you an experienced investment professional looking to step into a senior, high‑impact role at the heart of one of the UK's most strategic growth sectors? OWGP (Offshore Wind Growth Partnership) is expanding its remit as it becomes the Industrial Growth Plan (IGP) Delivery Body, and we are seeking a Senior Associate - Investments and Projects to play a pivotal role in shaping, delivering and scaling investment support to the UK offshore wind supply chain. This is a unique opportunity to apply investment‑grade due diligence, portfolio management and financial modelling expertise in a mission‑driven organisation. You'll help deploy capital efficiently, support industrial growth, and ensure public funding delivers maximum economic, innovation and employment impact across the UK.
What you'll be doing:
- As a senior member of the Investments Team, you will provide hands‑on leadership across the full lifecycle of offshore wind supply chain funding assessments and portfolio management.
- Due Diligence & Account Management: Acting as the main point of contact for companies undergoing the OWGP due diligence process. Preparing summary papers for the Preliminary Investment Committee, outlining proposal quality and identifying DD requirements. Coordinating internal and external due diligence workstreams and managing supporting documentation (checklists, Q&A, DD information lists).
- Investment‑Grade Analysis: Delivering internal financial, commercial and market due diligence on a broad range of UK offshore wind supply chain propositions. Applying proportionate, robust and scalable assessment frameworks as the funding portfolio grows.
- Financial Modelling: Creating, reviewing and upgrading financial models for internal OWGP use and investment evaluation purposes. Supporting decision‑making by stress‑testing assumptions and assessing value‑for‑money.
- Portfolio Reporting & Forecasting: Assisting in the development of portfolio reporting and forecasting frameworks. Contributing analysis and insight for OWGP Board papers and internal management reporting.
- Cross‑functional Collaboration: Working closely with colleagues across OWGP to ensure investments align with the objectives of the Industrial Growth Plan. Engaging with co‑investors, public funding bodies and delivery partners to support viable investment structures.
Who we are looking for:
- 3-5+ years' experience in investment, corporate finance, financial analysis, due diligence or a closely related discipline.
- Strong, demonstrable financial modelling and analytical capability.
- Ability to interpret and analyse company accounts and investment proposals.
- Degree in finance, economics, engineering, science, or a related field.
- Clear, confident communicator with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and investment committees.
