We are the internal recruitment partner for our client, a well-established award-winning food supplier. Grasmere Farm is seeking a hands-on Butchery Factory Manager to lead their production operation. You will oversee a team of skilled butchers, sausage makers and order assembly staff, ensuring the smooth running of all daily activities within a busy butchery environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a practical approach, and experience within food manufacturing.
In particular, you will:
- Manage and support the butchery team (8 staff)
- Oversee production for supermarkets, wholesalers, shops, online customers and our own stores
- Maintain stock control and complete regular stock takes
- Remain hands-on where required (butchery tasks, order assembly, burger production, sausage making, slicing etc.)
- Ensure compliance with FSA and SALSA standards (audit training can be provided)
- Uphold high standards of hygiene, traceability, and health & safety
- Manage workflow, labour planning and daily operational requirements
- Solve daily production issues quickly and effectively

- Highly organised with excellent multitasking ability
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment

- Salary depending on experience
- Working Hours: 7.00am-5.00pm across Monday - Thursday and 7.00am - 3.00pm
