Costara Travel is a fast-growing travel membership platform that offers members access to exclusive hotel rates. By offering travel savings that are not typically available through public travel websites, Costara helps members unlock greater value from every trip. They are now expanding the corporate membership programme, helping businesses offer travel savings as an employee benefit. This is an exciting opportunity to join at an early stage and play a key role in building a high-growth business from the ground up.
We are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Manager to introduce Costara Travel's membership programme to SMEs and organisations across the UK. You'll be responsible for identifying prospects, generating opportunities, building relationships with decision-makers and converting businesses into paying corporate membership customers.
In particular, you will:
- Build and manage a pipeline of SME and corporate prospects
- Engage business owners, HR teams and key decision-makers
- Generate new business through LinkedIn, email, phone and networking
- Deliver sales presentations and convert prospects into customers
- Grow Costara's brand presence through LinkedIn and industry events
- Develop partnerships with benefit aggregators, platforms and employee benefits providers as an additional route to market
- Develop referral partnerships and new routes to market
- Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline reporting
- Provide market insights to support product development and sales strategy
Who we are looking for:
- Proven B2B sales/business development experience with a track record of winning new business
- Experience selling to SMEs and business decision-makers
- Strong communication, networking and relationship-building skills
- Able to build and manage a sales pipeline independently
- Organised with good CRM and lead management skills
- Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable working remotely
- Full UK driving licence, own vehicle and willingness to travel
- Experience selling employee benefits, memberships, SaaS or subscription-based products (desirable)
- Experience working with or selling into benefits aggregators, benefits platforms or intermediaries
- Existing SME, HR or business owner network (desirable)
- Start-up, travel industry or membership business experience (desirable)
