About the opportunity:
We are the internal recruitment partner for our client, a leading UK manufacturer.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to join the team and support day-to-day warehouse operations, from receiving and inspecting goods to order fulfilment and dispatch. Working closely with the Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining accuracy, safety, and operational efficiency throughout the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming stock, ensuring accuracy and checking for any damage.
- Accurately label and record all stock movements.
- Organise and store inventory based on product groupings.
- Complete order picking tasks in line with SAGE pick sheets.
- Prepare pallets safely and in accordance with customer-specific requirements.
- Load and dispatch goods, ensuring accuracy and documentation of each pallet.
- Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Report discrepancies, damages, or hazards to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Maintain a safe, clean working environment, adopting 5S principles.
- Experience in a warehouse operational environment.
- Hold a valid BENDI/Pivot Steer Licence (mandatory).
- Counterbalance (CB) Forklift Licence is desirable.
- Ability to lift, bend, carry, and stand for long periods.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Familiarity with warehouse IT systems and basic MS Office knowledge.
- A proactive, safety-conscious attitude with an understanding of safe working practices.
- Ability to follow SOPs and work independently when required.
- A salary of £26,353.60 per annum (£12.67 per hour)
- Working hours 07:00 – 16:30 (Mon-Fri)
