Folksworth Church of England Primary School require a hard-working, enthusiastic and friendly school cook to be responsible for all aspects of our school kitchen providing high quality meals to our children.

Working Hours: 27.5 hours per week term time (Monday – Friday 9:15am-2:45pm)

Pay: £14.13 Per Hour

Start date: 1st September 2025

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Preparation and serving of school lunches
  • Plan menus and manage stock
  • Cleaning the school kitchen
  • Ordering supplies within an agreed budget
  • Ensure that all hygiene and food safety requirements are being adhered to

The successful candidate will require:

  • Have experience of working in a school setting or similar catering experience.
  • Working knowledge of HACCP Health and Safety and allergen management
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Excellent hygiene and health and safety practices and knowledge of appropriate legislation
  • Understanding of ordering and budgeting
  • Relevant qualifications in food safety and/or catering
