About the opportunity:


Working as part of our people services team, you will be responsible for delivering an accurate and efficient payroll service to a portfolio of clients across a variety of sectors. This is a client-facing role where you will build strong relationships, provide expert payroll support, and ensure an outstanding customer experience.


In particular, you will:



  • Assist with the onboarding and implementation of new client payrolls.

  • Deliver a fully managed end-to-end payroll service, ensuring accuracy and compliance at all times.

  • Process payrolls for multiple clients and pay frequencies.

  • Administer workplace pensions and auto-enrolment requirements.

  • Liaise with pension providers and maintain pension records.

  • Handle payroll-related queries from clients and employees professionally and efficiently.

  • Ensure compliance with current payroll legislation, HMRC requirements, and best practice.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance payroll processes.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across HR, employee benefits, and wider people services teams.

Who we are looking for:



  • Experience in payroll processing and administration.

  • Sound knowledge of current payroll legislation and statutory requirements.

  • Experience managing end-to-end payroll activities.

  • Understanding of workplace pensions and auto-enrolment.

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

  • Proven customer service and relationship-building abilities.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

  • Experience using payroll software packages.

  • A positive, proactive, and solution-focused approach.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
