About the opportunity:
Working as part of our people services team, you will be responsible for delivering an accurate and efficient payroll service to a portfolio of clients across a variety of sectors. This is a client-facing role where you will build strong relationships, provide expert payroll support, and ensure an outstanding customer experience.
In particular, you will:
- Assist with the onboarding and implementation of new client payrolls.
- Deliver a fully managed end-to-end payroll service, ensuring accuracy and compliance at all times.
- Process payrolls for multiple clients and pay frequencies.
- Administer workplace pensions and auto-enrolment requirements.
- Liaise with pension providers and maintain pension records.
- Handle payroll-related queries from clients and employees professionally and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with current payroll legislation, HMRC requirements, and best practice.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance payroll processes.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across HR, employee benefits, and wider people services teams.

Who we are looking for:
- Experience in payroll processing and administration.
- Sound knowledge of current payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
- Experience managing end-to-end payroll activities.
- Understanding of workplace pensions and auto-enrolment.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Proven customer service and relationship-building abilities.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using payroll software packages.
- A positive, proactive, and solution-focused approach.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
