We are working with a fast‑growing FX and international payments business, supporting UK and international corporate clients with currency exchange and global payments. Founded by two co‑owners, the business has achieved impressive growth in a short space of time and is now planning ahead for its next phase of scale. To continue to support this growth, they are looking to hire a Head of Settlements for a 12 month maternity cover to support increasing client volumes and transaction activity.

As Head of Settlements, you’ll oversee the full settlements function, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and smooth daily processing across all FX activity. You’ll manage and mentor the team, drive process improvements, and act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, banking partners, and counterparties. You’ll report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our operational engine.

In particular, you will:

  • Lead and manage the Settlements team, ensuring tasks are delegated effectively and morale remains high.
  • Oversee daily operational workflows, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Execute FX trades across BARX, Macquarie and Crown platforms.
  • Perform daily safeguarding reconciliations, escalating discrepancies to the CCO.
  • Monitor client monies, liaising with stakeholders.
