Hotpoint UK Appliances, a global leading white goods manufacturer and proud recipient of the UK Top Employer award for the past six consecutive years, are presenting an exciting opportunity for an experienced, people centric Depot Manager to join their team in Mallusk, Northern Ireland. Holding full responsibility for the depot, the successful candidate will manage the daily operational aspects including effective management of the team and resources.

You will ensure compliance with Health and Safety and Driver Regulations as well as ensuring a high level of customer service is maintained. You will control all aspects of the delivery function; to include the scheduling of deliveries in a punctual and cost-effective manner, allocation of loads, monitoring of delivery performance, and maintenance of an efficient delivery service; effectively leading and supporting all Supervisor, Drivers and Drivers Mates. Driven by excellence you will be consistent with implementing continuous improvement practices to drive performance and customer excellence within an already high-performing depot.

As one of our successful Depot Managers, you will be a loyal and committed professional, with proven supervisory or managerial experience within a multi-drop environment and a natural leadership style, enabling you to coach, mentor and inspire your team.

Requirements

  • Must hold CPC in Road Transport (National & International)
  • Flexibility around working hours to meet business needs (No Weekends)
  • Knowledge of Operator License regulations, including driver license and driver hours’ records
  • Qualified to basic level in EH&S ILM would be beneficial
  • Sound knowledge of Tachograph legislation
  • People management experience and skills is essential
  • PC literate
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Leadership skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Supervisory or management experience of working in a multi-drop environment would be advantageous
