Vernova Healthcare is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, self-motivated bank practitioner to join our small, but friendly ultrasound team. Our top priority is to ensure our NHS service remains patient focused, providing safe, effective and efficient care within a local community setting.

- Handforth Clinic
The successful applicant will be required to work independently across these sites but also as part of a wider team; healthcare assistants form part of our valued team and support all sessions. We promote effective communication and engagement, meeting regularly for service/clinical updates including peer review audit/feedback.
Main duties of the job:
Working as part of a small but experienced team, you will report directly to the Lead Sonographer. Your remit will be to be independently responsible for carrying out and reporting on non-obstetric ultrasound examinations to a high standard, in line with local and national guidelines. Holding a CASE accredited ultrasound qualification (PgCert, PgDip), you must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom with HCPC/NMC/equivalent registration. The successful candidate will have excellent clinical skills and experience in general, gynaecological and superficial/small parts scanning. MSK and/or head and neck experience would also be an advantage.

We can offer a unique working opportunity with great flexibility around working hours/days as well as engagement status. You will find our remuneration competitive and working environment supportive. For those wishing to be engaged as PAYE - Vernova is an employing authority for the NHS Pension Scheme. Contractor/Self-employed status can also be accommodated.
