Role Overview: As Head of Energy Strategy, you will shape how we source, price, and manage power across our rapidly growing portfolio. This is a senior, high-impact role that blends commercial foresight, market intelligence, and financial acumen. You will lead the development of a complete, future-ready energy platform covering PPA origination, risk management, forecasting, and hedging designed to deliver stable, sustainable, and competitive outcomes for our business and our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Energy Planning: Develop and own the company's end-to-end long-term power strategy across multiple Nordic and European markets; including PPA structuring (financial/physical), hedging frameworks, spot market optimisation.
  • Grid & Market Expertise: Maintain deep working knowledge of grid tariffs, TSO/DSO investment plans, connection processes, and Nordic power dynamics to advise on site viability, capacity reservations, and speed-to-market risks.
  • Lead PPA strategy: Originate and negotiate renewable and baseload contracts aligned with hyperscale customer expectations for stability and ESG performance.
  • Build forecasting processes that connect sales pipeline, operational load profiles, and market views to drive sizing and timing of PPAs, hedges, and grid capacity commitment.
  • Design and implement a holistic end-to-end process integrating procurement, operations forecasting, and financial hedging.
  • Build risk management frameworks that govern exposure, establish hedging principles, and ensure transparency for executive and investor audiences.
  • Develop forecasting and analytics capabilities to align energy purchasing with sales commitments and operational demand.
  • Collaborate across teams—from Finance to Operations and Business Development—to embed power considerations into planning, contracting, and customer engagement.
