Salary: £30,127.50 - £31,725.50 (Depending on experience and Licenses)

We're looking for a Senior Warehouse Team Leader to play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operation of a busy warehouse and dispatch function. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious warehouse leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment, leading from the front and driving continuous improvement.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Warehouse & Distribution Manager, you will be responsible for supervising warehouse and dispatch operations, ensuring products are stored, handled, and distributed efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service.
You will lead a team of operatives, coordinate resources, optimise warehouse space, and ensure operational targets are achieved while supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise daily warehouse and dispatch operations.
- Plan the flow of finished goods from production and suppliers into warehouse storage.
- Optimise warehouse storage capacity and product flow.
- Schedule and allocate resources to meet customer requirements.
- Monitor team performance and productivity.
- Ensure high standards of warehouse housekeeping and organisation.
- Maintain accurate warehouse documentation and records.
- Support, train, induct, and supervise temporary and permanent team members.
- Ensure safe and compliant FLT operations.
- Manage visiting drivers and ensure compliance with site procedures.
- Support stock control activities, including annual stocktakes.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Champion health, safety, quality, and environmental standards throughout the operation.
About You:
We're looking for someone who can combine strong operational experience with hands-on leadership.
Essential Skills & Experience:
✔ Proven experience within a warehouse or distribution environment
✔ Strong leadership and team management skills
✔ Excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
✔ Knowledge of Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental requirements
✔ Ability to motivate and develop colleagues
✔ Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage others
✔ A hands-on approach with a willingness to support operational activities when required
Desirable:
- Previous supervisory or team leader experience
- FLT licences (Counterbalance, Reach, or Narrow Aisle)
- Experience of 5S or continuous improvement methodologies
