Vernacare is seeking an experienced and driven Global Marketing Communications Assistant to join our Marketing team following an internal promotion. This position plays a critical role in delivering high-quality communication initiatives that enhance brand visibility, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and support our strategic business objectives. Role Overview: The Marketing Communications Executive will support the creation, development, and delivery of multi-channel communications that reflect Vernacare’s brand standards and business priorities. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across the organisation. You will contribute to digital marketing initiatives, internal and external communications, product launch support, brand development, and event coordination across the UK and international markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with Global Marketing Communications Manager to articulate Vernacare’s overall story and value proposition in a compelling way, identify and implement ways to effectively communicate them to external and internal audiences.
- Continuously ensure the company marketing goals are communicated across the entire organisation and improve the company’s marketing outreach efforts.
- Focus on growing global awareness of Vernacare and its HERO brands.
- Ensure consistency in tone, style, and messaging across all marketing materials, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines by reviewing content and providing feedback to teams.
- Plan and develop marketing campaigns and create content, ensuring they are executed on time, within budget, and meet set objectives.
- Support product launches, brand initiatives, and seasonal campaigns across various channels, including websites, social media, email campaigns, press releases, media kits and more.
- Update website assets in the CMS (WordPress) to ensure accurate, timely, and cohesive brand representation.
- Manage digital marketing efforts including SEO, SEM, PPC, social media marketing, and online advertising.
- Write, edit, and publish SEO-optimized copy to drive organic search visibility, aligning with brand guidelines.
- Monitor, analyse and report on the performance of digital campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Support the Global Marketing Communications Manager with the co-ordination and administration for conferences, exhibitions and events.
- Collaborate with sales teams on events and study days; ensuring correct marketing and sales support materials and monitor ROI.
- Support internal communications; working with other departments to drive and support their communication needs.
- Coordinate with external agencies, PR, vendors, and contractors as needed.
- Extol the virtues of being “One Vernacare”.
Candidate Profile:
Qualifications: Degree-level education in Marketing, Communications, Psychology, Advertising, Business Management, or related discipline (desirable) or have worked within a Marketing role for 1 year. Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) qualification (desirable).
Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in a marketing role (essential). Experience in healthcare or medical devices marketing (desirable).
Skills & Knowledge: Proficiency in WordPress, Google Analytics, SEO, and social media management (desirable). Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills. Ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple projects. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously.
Personal Attributes: Professional, positive, and approachable manner. Adaptability and willingness to adopt new methods and processes. Confident in making rational decisions under pressure. Ability to give and receive constructive feedback. Fluent written and spoken English (essential).
