The Role

As a Commercial Account Manager – B2B, you will take full ownership of your territory and strategic accounts, playing a critical role in driving sustainable growth across Vernacare’s Long‑Term Care portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account & Territory Management: Own and deliver strategic account plans aligned to business objectives, customer needs, and market opportunities. Manage a defined portfolio of key B2B Long‑Term Care accounts, ensuring strong retention, growth, and long‑term partnerships. Analyse territory and account data to identify opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement. Plan and prioritise time effectively to maximise return on investment across your territory. Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date customer and activity records within the CRM system.
  • Sales Growth & Commercial Delivery: Achieve and exceed agreed sales, margin, and KPI targets. Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline aligned to business strategy. Deliver solution‑focused selling by matching Vernacare’s products and services to customer needs. Identify and develop new business opportunities within both existing and new accounts. Coordinate and manage product evaluations, trials, and implementations where appropriate. Support and collaborate with distribution partners to ensure full promotion of Vernacare product ranges.
  • Customer & Relationship Management: Build trusted, long‑term relationships with key decision‑makers, influencers, and stakeholders. Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring a consistently high level of service. Understand customer challenges and objectives to provide added‑value, tailored solutions. Leverage internal expertise and cross‑functional support to deliver the best possible customer outcomes. Use strong relationships to support wider team objectives and collaborative wins.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with internal teams including Marketing, Customer Services, Supply Chain, and Sales Leadership. Share market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitor insights to support business decision‑making. Communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation, adapting style and approach as required. Actively contribute to a positive, high‑energy, and collaborative team culture.
  • Market Knowledge & Continuous Improvement: Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the Long‑Term Care market and Vernacare’s strategic objectives. Take ownership of ongoing professional development, including product, market, and industry knowledge. Contribute ideas and insights to support innovation, service improvement, and new product development. Work closely with Marketing and relevant stakeholders to support long‑term growth strategies.
  • Compliance & Professional Standards: Operate in line with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Demonstrate Vernacare’s C.A.R.E values in all aspects of your role. Support health, safety, and wellbeing standards across your area of responsibility.
