We're recruiting on behalf of one of Europe's fastest-growing software companies β named in the Financial Times' fastest-growing list (2025) and voted one of The Sunday Times' Best Places to Work (2025). They build AI and automation software for people-intensive industries, and their engineering team is a collaborative, thoughtful group that genuinely cares about quality and meaningful product outcomes. They're now looking for a QA Engineer to join them.
The role
This isn't a "receive specs and test" position. You'll help shape them. Working closely with Product Managers and Software Engineers, you'll take end-to-end ownership of quality β from initial feature design through to production release β with a focus on manual, exploratory, and context-driven testing. You'll be the voice of the user, challenging assumptions, identifying risk, and ensuring every release feels polished and intuitive.
What you'll be doing
- Taking end-to-end responsibility for product quality, from design phase to release.
- Designing and executing thorough exploratory tests across a complex web application, going well beyond predefined cases to uncover critical edge cases.
- Actively participating in product discussions, challenging design and implementation decisions to uphold high standards.
- Identifying and communicating technical and UX risks clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Using logs, production issues, and usage patterns to guide your testing and prioritise risk.
- Spotting usability issues and providing actionable UI/UX feedback to support a seamless customer experience.
- Helping define and refine QA processes as the engineering team continues to scale.
Who they're looking for
You'll thrive here if you're a self-starter who's comfortable with pace and ownership. You naturally explore systems, pivot quickly based on priorities, and have a keen eye for UI/UX. You use AI tools practically in your day-to-day and know where their limits lie. Above all, you're firm on quality standards and know how to deliver feedback constructively.
Requirements
- Solid experience in manual testing of complex web applications (essential).
- Data fluency β validating integrity or working with data-heavy systems (desirable).
- Exposure to test automation (desirable).
Benefits
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
- MacBook and any additional tech or software you need.
- Flexible working arrangements.
- Private health, dental, and vision insurance through Aviva.
- Income protection insurance.
- Extended mental health cover and Employee Assistance Programme.
- Compassionate leave policy.
- Private pension contributions through Royal London.
- Monthly company social events and regular in-person hackathons.
This is a brilliant opportunity to join a high-growth, award-winning business and make a real impact on a product used every single day by thousands of people. If you're interested, get in touch.
