The Organisation

Barnet Council's Family Services team is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to support a temporary peak in workload. This is an inside IR35 engagement, working 36 hours per week on a hybrid basis from their Colindale office.

The Role

You will be joining a busy children's disabilities team, providing occupational therapy assessments and interventions for children and young people with a range of disabilities. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to care plans and supporting families to achieve the best outcomes for their children.

Key Requirements

  • Qualified Occupational Therapist, registered with the HCPC
  • Experience working with children with disabilities is essential – candidates with an adult-only background will not be considered for this post
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently and prioritise effectively
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced local authority environment

Assignment Details

  • Location: 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London, NW9 4EW
  • Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Working pattern: Hybrid
  • Duration: 12 weeks
  • Start date: 9th June 2026
  • IR35 status: Inside

Rates

  • PAYE: £29.06 per hour
  • Limited / Umbrella: £39.93 per hour
