We are looking for a Lead Data Engineer to take ownership of core data engineering and architecture work while providing technical leadership to a delivery team. This is a hands-on senior role for someone equally comfortable designing scalable data solutions and guiding the engineers building them.
Key Details
- Rate: £400 per day, Outside IR35
- Contract Length: 3 months initially, with a strong intention to extend
- Working Pattern: Remote-first, with occasional travel into London as required
- Location Requirement: Candidates must be UK-based with full right to work in the UK, no sponsorship available
The Role
- Lead core data engineering and architecture initiatives, setting technical direction and best practice
- Bring prior experience leading or mentoring delivery teams in a technical capacity
- Design and build scalable, cloud-native data pipelines and integration workflows
- Apply strong hands-on expertise with dbt across transformation and modelling work
