Requirements

  • Some experience in testing, QA, technical support, development or a similar environment
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS and Java Script, and how web applications work
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise
  • Confident using Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Teams)
  • Exposure to tools like Test Cafe, Playwright or Selenium is a plus, but not essential
  • Familiarity with Jira or similar ticketing systems is advantageous
  • GCSE grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Relevant technical qualifications, self-study or personal projects will be viewed positively
  • Must be eligible to live and work in the UK

Responsibilities

  • Execute manual testing against acceptance criteria, designs and requirements
  • Create, maintain and run structured test cases
  • Carry out exploratory testing to catch defects and usability issues
  • Perform regression testing ahead of releases
  • Raise clear, reproducible defect reports with supporting evidence
  • Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing
  • Participate in agile ceremonies (stand‑ups, sprint planning, reviews, retros)
  • Maintain accurate testing records in Jira
  • Support the development of automated tests with senior QA support

We are recruiting on behalf of an established UK software house based in Epsom, Surrey, working on a widely used communication and engagement platform that helps organisations manage campaigns, service updates and stakeholder communications, supporting thousands of users.

Alongside this, we are developing new products for public sector engagement, creating varied opportunities across both mature, business‑critical systems and new product development.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their testing career to join a supportive QA team and build genuine hands‑on experience.

The role is Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm, and offers genuine long‑term progression within the QA and product delivery function, with opportunities to build deeper expertise in manual testing, release assurance, automated testing and test planning as you grow.
