Essential Qualifications & Professional Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (or a closely related discipline), or equivalent professional experience
- Training in Building Services Engineering, energy, or sustainability, or equivalent experience
- Evidence of continuing professional development
Desirable:
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards accreditation (e.g., IET, CIBSE)
Experience Required
Essential Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ Electrical Engineering experience (UK-based preferred)
- Experience delivering projects from concept to completion
- Experience managing contractors and administering construction contracts
- Strong budget management and cost control experience
- Knowledge of public sector procurement and governance
Desirable Experience:
- Energy efficiency and decarbonisation project delivery
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and multidisciplinary environments
Key Skills & Knowledge
- Electrical system design with a focus on sustainable/low-carbon solutions
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and best practice
- Understanding of project frameworks (e.g., RIBA Plan of Work)
- Knowledge of CDM 2015 and Building Safety legislation
- Ability to manage risk, compliance, and performance
