Senior Product Governance Manager
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Product Governance professional to take on a senior, hands-on role with responsibility for ensuring products continue to deliver good customer outcomes throughout their lifecycle.
Reporting to the Head of Product Governance, you'll take the lead on product reviews, Fair Value Assessments and ongoing product monitoring, while providing expert guidance and challenge across the business on FCA Product Governance and Consumer Duty requirements.

- Reviewing and challenging Product Reviews and Fair Value Assessments completed across the team.
- Assessing products against their intended target markets and identifying potential risks of customer harm.
- Providing Product Governance input into new product development and proposition changes.
- Analysing product, customer, complaints, vulnerability, distributor and conduct MI to identify emerging risks and trends.
- Leading complex investigations and root cause analysis relating to customer outcomes, conduct and operational concerns.
- Assessing outcomes for customers, including vulnerable customers, and driving improvements where required.
- Overseeing distributor performance and distribution arrangements to ensure products continue to reach their intended target markets.
- Preparing and presenting Product Reviews, Fair Value Assessments and MI to Executive Committees and governance forums.
- Providing guidance to stakeholders on Product Governance, Consumer Duty, Target Market and Fair Value requirements.
- Supporting regulatory reviews, audits and assurance activity.
- Providing leadership, coaching and quality assurance to colleagues within the Product Governance team.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone with significant experience working within Product Governance, Product Oversight, Consumer Duty, Conduct Risk or a related regulatory environment.
You'll ideally bring:
- Relevant experience within Product Governance, Product Oversight, Consumer Duty, Conduct Risk or a similar regulatory function.
- Strong knowledge of FCA Product Governance requirements, including PROD 4, Consumer Duty and Fair Value Assessments.
- Demonstrable experience leading Product Reviews, Fair Value Assessments and customer outcome assessments.
- Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting complex product, customer, distributor and conduct MI.
- Experience presenting findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders, Executive Committees or governance forums.

- Experience of co-manufactured products, delegated distribution arrangements and distributor oversight would be advantageous.
What will make you successful
You'll be comfortable operating at a senior level while remaining close to the detail. You'll be analytical, commercially aware and confident making evidence-based recommendations.
Just as importantly, you'll be able to translate regulatory requirements into practical actions for the business, challenge appropriately and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
You'll have a strong understanding of Consumer Duty and a genuine focus on ensuring products deliver the right outcomes for customers.
