The Head of Corporate Partnerships is responsible for the strategic leadership, day-to-day management, and commercial evolution of our most critical external partnership. You will serve as the primary bridge between the Markerstudy Distribution Team and the Partner, ensuring that products and services are not only delivered to a high standard but are continuously developed to remain market-leading. Your goal is to align the strategic objectives of both entities to drive mutual growth, high performance, and long-term stability. We are a flexible, hybrid working employer. We do have offices based in Manchester, Peterborough and London where frequent travel to would be expected although the primary role will be out and about seeing clients and partners as and when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Relationship Management & Governance: Act as the lead point of contact for the strategic partner, maintaining a high-trust relationship at all levels of seniority. Formally document and govern all key areas of focus, ensuring clear accountability and adherence to contractual obligations. Lead regular steering committees and partnership reviews to ensure alignment on vision and delivery.
- Product & Service Development: Own the day-to-day management and life cycle of insurance products and services dedicated to the partner, with a specific focus on delivering excellent customer outcomes. Identify opportunities for product enhancement or new service launches to ensure the proposition remains "best-in-class" within the insurance market. Translate partner needs into actionable product roadmaps.
- Internal Influence & Cross-Functional Leadership: Navigate and influence key internal departments (Claims, Operations, Proposition, Marketing, IT, and Legal) to ensure the partner's strategic objectives are prioritised and met. Break down internal silos to ensure a seamless "one-team" delivery approach for the Group and the Partner.
- Strategic Planning & Business Delivery: Design and execute robust business strategies and annual plans to ensure all financial and growth targets are met or exceeded. Monitor the competitive landscape to ensure the partnership's value proposition remains differentiated and market-leading.
- Performance Analysis & Continuous Improvement: Rigorously manage and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and commercial data. Identify trends, underperformance, or opportunities within the data to recommend and coordinate rapid changes. Drive a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring service delivery evolves in line with customer and partner expectations.
- Team Work: There's no ‘I in Team', you will be a proven leader able to motivate, develop and support a team of people around you, and in return, they will help you to deliver your key responsibilities. There may also be occasions where you are required to deputise for the Capacity and Partnerships Director.
Key Skills & Experience
- Deep understanding of the insurance industry, including regulatory requirements, underwriting principles, and claims excellence.
- Proven track record of managing high-value, complex corporate partnerships or "affinity" relationships.
- Exceptional ability to command respect and win "buy-in" from internal stakeholders who do not report to you directly.
- Highly analytical with the ability to turn KPI data into strategic recommendations.
- Ability to look beyond daily operations to design 1–3 year growth strategies.
- Elite level of written and verbal communication, specifically in documenting governance and presenting to Board-level stakeholders.
