The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Finance Systems Manager to oversee and optimise our financial systems within a fast-paced UK insurance brokerage. The Finance Systems Manager is responsible for managing, optimising, and supporting Sage Intacct and related financial systems within a UK insurance business. This role ensures that finance technology supports regulatory compliance, improves operational efficiency, and enhances reporting capabilities. The role requires strong collaboration with Finance, IT, and external vendors to drive system enhancements and automation.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own and administer the organisation’s core finance systems, primarily Sage Intacct, ensuring data integrity and system performance
- Maintain and improve chart of accounts, workflows and reporting structures
- Drive automation and efficiency across finance processes and reporting
- Support the month-end and reporting cycle by ensuring systems support accurate and timely financial information
- Lead system upgrades, integrations and enhancements, including finance system optimisation projects
- Work closely with Finance and IT teams to troubleshoot issues and deliver system improvements
- Support the use and optimisation of procurement and expense platforms such as Yooz and similar tools
- Provide training, guidance and documentation to finance and operational users
- Manage relationships with external vendors and system consultants
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a Finance Systems Manager, Systems Accountant, Finance Transformation or similar role.
- Strong experience with Sage Intacct (configuration, reporting, integrations or administration)
- Experience working with finance teams to optimise systems and reporting
- Knowledge of financial processes such as month-end, reporting and controls
- Experience delivering system improvements, automation or finance transformation projects
- Ability to work collaboratively with Finance, IT and external vendors
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
- Experience within insurance or financial services would be beneficial, but candidates from other regulated or complex finance environments will also be considered.
