Travel to Brentwood and Manchester will be required when needed. We are seeking a

Prudential Risk Manager

to join our ambitious, growing general insurance group. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified actuary with a strong risk management mindset to make a real impact. Reporting to the Head of Financial Risk, you will help provide robust oversight and challenge across the group, working closely with Finance and Capital Modelling teams to support decision-making, and ensure we operate within our risk appetite and regulatory expectations. Key Responsibilities: As Prudential Risk Manager, you'll: Provide 2nd line oversight, assurance and challenge across the group's financial risks, supporting the effective application of the Risk Management Framework, risk reporting, policy development, control assessments and regulatory compliance. Support the delivery of the group's ORSA process, including capital planning, stress testing and validation of quantitative outputs. Embed and enhance the group's Model Risk Management Framework, supporting model identification, validation and communication of key assumptions, limitations and risks. Lead targeted assurance reviews and deep-dive assessments of material financial risks, investments and decision making processes. Contribute to governance forums, Board and Executive reporting, providing independent challenge and risk oversight across the wider business. Support the Head of Risk and Head of Financial Risk in delivering effective risk management across all group entities. About You: Experience within general insurance capital modelling, capital planning and investments within a PRA/Solvency II environment. Experience of stress and scenario testing, with a strong understanding of insurance risk management, risk mitigation and regulatory requirements. Strong relationship-building, communication and stakeholder management skills, with a customer-focused approach. Good understanding of governance frameworks, including the Three Lines of Defence model, and the ability to provide effective challenge and oversight. Qualified or part-qualified actuary (advantageous).
