The Role
As Marketing Insights Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering actionable insights that support strategic growth, product development, and marketing effectiveness. Working closely with commercial, product, digital, and marketing teams, you'll provide a clear view of market opportunities, emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive activity. You'll transform complex data into compelling stories and recommendations that help the business stay ahead in a rapidly evolving marketplace.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading quantitative and qualitative research projects to identify emerging market trends and changing customer behaviours
- Monitoring competitor activity, pricing strategies, propositions, marketing campaigns, and digital performance
- Analysing market developments to identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and customer engagement
- Combining internal performance data with external market intelligence to deliver a comprehensive view of business performance
- Producing high impact insight reports and presentations for senior stakeholders
- Supporting product development, proposition enhancement, and marketing strategy through evidence based recommendations
- Working collaboratively with cross functional teams across Marketing, Commercial, Product, Digital, and Data functions
What We're Looking For
- Experience in marketing insights, market research, or customer intelligence
- Strong knowledge of the UK insurance or wider financial services market is advantageous
- Understanding of FCA regulations, Consumer Duty, distribution channels, and aggregator landscapes
- Proven experience using market research and insight tools such as Mintel, YouGov, GlobalData, or similar
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and identify commercial opportunities
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with experience using Power BI and Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence senior leaders through data driven storytelling and recommendations
