The Role Were looking for a proactive and detail-focused Purchase Ledger Assistant to take ownership of the end-to-end accounts payable function. This is a key role within the finance team, working closely with the Finance Director and playing a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the smooth running of the business. Youll manage a busy ledger of circa 1,000 invoices per month, so confidence, organisation, and a hands-on approach are essential. Key Responsibilities Full ownership of the purchase ledger function from start to finish Processing high volumes of supplier invoices (circa 1,000 per month) Matching, batching, and coding invoices using Sage Line 50 Managing supplier queries and building strong working relationships Preparing and supporting payment runs Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies Supporting month-end processes and reporting where required Working closely with the Finance Director on day-to-day finance operations What Were Looking For Proven experience in a Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable role Experience using Sage Line 50 or similar Finance systems Comfortable managing high volumes with accuracy and attention to detail Proactive, organised, and able to take ownership of your workload Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach Reliable and happy working in a fully office-based role Confident Excel user Why Join?
