Winning a client is only the beginning. This role turns the insurance promise into proactive service, loss prevention and deep trust.
Why Reli
We are setting a new standard in commercial fleet insurance by pricing and mitigating risks proactively and making safer fleets better business for everyone. Trusted by market leaders. Powered by extraordinary talent and technology. Reli is an insurance MGA, co-founded with the world's largest logistics company and built to solve the real problems and needs of commercial fleet operators and the wider insurance ecosystem. We combine insurance expertise with technology across fleet risk, loss prevention, pricing, underwriting, claims and operations. Technology helps us improve everything we do as an MGA, remove low-value work and be more present for clients, brokers and partners.
Why this role matters
Retain and improve the UK client portfolio by becoming a trusted operational and risk partner, coordinating client- and partner service, proactive loss prevention and renewal readiness from end to end. You will become the trusted operational and risk partner for a portfolio of commercial fleet clients. You will connect service, claims insight, telematics, loss-prevention actions and renewal preparation so clients feel supported and measurable improvement actually happens. Loss ratio, client retention and NPS, renewal success are key measures of succeeding.
Our broker and partner standard: Clients should experience one joined-up Reli, and brokers and operating partners should experience us as a deeply trusted proactive extension of their own service. We want to build extraordinary relationships through trust, curiosity, value generation, responsiveness and reliability across the full client lifecycle.
What you will make happen
- Protect client retention, value and trust: Maintain strong relationship health, close commitments and issues, and create credible retention and renewal outcomes.
- Maintain controlled client and renewal readiness: Keep client data, commitments, claims and risk changes current; make ownership visible and escalate material issues early.
- Turn risk insight into client action: Translate telematics, claims and operating insight into agreed proactive loss-prevention actions, client adoption and measurable follow-through.
- Improve client workflows and data: Create reusable plans, templates and automation that reduce friction, strengthen data and make service less dependent on manual actions and individuals.
- Build a client-centred Reli culture: Partner with Sales and Underwriting and work as one unit. Create careful handovers, share learning, recognise strong work and surface responsible expansion opportunities.
What you will own
Own the day-to-day client and partner relationship, service actions and renewal preparation; recommend expansion or corrective actions; escalate coverage, pricing, claims, conduct or commitments outside scope. You will work closely with clients and fleet teams; Sales, Underwriting, Claims, Product and Operations; external service and data partners on proactive loss prevention, retention and renewal success.
What you bring
- Commercial fleet client management
- Risk-improvement and risk advisory communication
- Renewal and portfolio coordination
- Issue resolution and stakeholder management
- Commercial judgement, empathy and relationship care
How you work: Own the client outcome across boundaries; directness with human care. Early correction before failure; leverage, learning and shared context. We care more about evidence of outcomes, judgement and learning than a perfectly linear career or identical previous title. You do not need to match every line to apply.
The working reality
The work crosses functions and external partners, and the client will often experience Reli through how well you connect those moving parts. You will need to close issues, keep data and commitments current and challenge constructively when action is not happening. This is unlikely to suit someone who sees client management mainly as relationship maintenance, reactively waits for someone to call in to act, is avoiding difficult conversations or conflict, or who leaves ownership at functional boundaries. High trust. High care. High output. We give capable people meaningful freedom and context and expect them to own outcomes. Care means supporting colleagues, clients, brokers and partners, giving direct feedback and addressing problems early. Output means solving the right problems fast to a high standard.
Join as a co-owner
We are looking for people who want to join in and act as co-owners - taking responsibility for the whole company, improving what sits beyond their immediate remit and helping others succeed. The package includes a competitive fixed salary, participation in Reli's company-wide bonus structure and participation in our stock option programme (VSOP). The VSOP gives team members the opportunity to participate in potential long-term value they help create.
Apply
Start with the role-specific application form and complete our "Reality Check". The "Reality Check" is part of the application and gives you an honest view of the situations, expectations and choices you may meet at Reli. Are we the right fit for you?
Application and Reality Check: https//careers.reli-insurance.com/ The remaining process is introductory phone conversation - Culture Fit Interview - Function Fit Interview - references - final decision and offer.
