Markerstudy Insurance Group is looking for an Accountant to join our Group Finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys month-end, reconciliations, reporting and process improvement within a large, complex finance environment. You’ll play a key role in supporting financial month-end and reporting processes across the Markerstudy group of companies, helping ensure accuracy, strong controls and timely delivery.
You’ll support the Financial Controller and wider Controllership team with the preparation of journals, balance sheet reconciliations, reporting, audit support and continuous improvement activity. You’ll be joining a collaborative finance team where accuracy, ownership and strong internal relationships are key. The role will suit someone who is methodical, confident working with data, and comfortable balancing deadlines in a changing environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting monthly close activities, including preparation and posting of journals
- Creating, recording and approving journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Completing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting detailed balance sheet reviews across allocated areas
- Assisting with internal and external audit requirements
