Working within the Verizon Business group in the UK, you will lead a team of sales professionals who are dedicated to expanding the business that we do with our current customers and strengthening the working relationships and partnership that we have with them. These customers will be large, international businesses that are headquartered in the UK or Ireland. We’re looking for a leader who can inspire and guide their team to weave our full suite of capabilities into a master‑key for our clients’ most complex challenges. This is your chance to play a key role in driving the growth of both our business and the professional capability of the individuals within your team.
Responsibilities Will Include
- Leading, developing, and motivating a sales team responsible for revenue growth through the business we do with our large enterprise customers.
- Providing support as required to Client Partners that own customer relationships.
- Forecasting sales and developing quotas.
- Monitoring progress against targets, anticipating resource requirements, and planning work for your team.
- Taking ownership of recruiting for your team as required.
- Ensuring the ongoing development and progression of the team through skill building, training and targeted assignments.
- Driving consultative selling, and ensuring customer needs are understood and met.
- Championing the use of new technology within the team, and identifying appropriate use cases to bring us business benefit.

You’ll Need To Have
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
- Experience of successfully selling technology based solutions to large enterprise customers.
- Experience of selling managed network services and cyber security solutions.
- Experience of leading and managing a team.
- Experience of coaching and mentoring others within a sales organization.
- A valid Driving Licence.
- Willingness to travel as the role requires (expected to be 25-50% of the time).
Even better if you have
- Experience of consistently meeting challenging sales targets (ideally where working with both existing customers and new logo prospects).
- Experience of leading a team that has consistently fulfilled sales targets and objectives.
- A strong degree of emotional intelligence and advanced communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise-wide technology solutions that incorporate more than one of the following: IP-networking, Cloud, Security, Professional or Outsourced Services or Advanced Communications Solutions, and the business challenges they resolve.
- Experience of creating and presenting business cases, value propositions, and proposals.
- Experience in sales forecasting and managing sales pipelines (ideally using Salesforce.com).
- Experience of incorporating new technologies (including Artificial Intelligence) within sales processes and the sales lifecycle.
