We are seeking a VAT specialist to join our Indirect Tax team. This role offers a mix of compliance and project work, ensuring the group meets its regional VAT/GST obligations while contributing to the enhancement of our tax function through system and process automation.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage the end‑to‑end VAT compliance cycle for multiple jurisdictions, including in‑house filings and coordination with external service providers.
  • Perform detailed reviews of VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, and Intrastat files for accuracy and regional compliance.
  • Deliver tax audit support by collaborating with Tax Management and Tax Authorities on information requests and compliance programs.
  • Provide practical VAT advice to internal stakeholders regarding business flows, cross‑border transactions, and legislative changes.
  • Support the implementation and updates of ERP VAT configurations and digital reporting requirements such as B2B e‑invoicing.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate manual workflows and enhance the quality of tax data through continuous improvement projects.

You’ll need to have:

  • Professional tax qualification (e.g., ATT, CTA or equivalent).
  • Strong technical knowledge of VAT across the EU/EMEA region (APAC knowledge desirable).
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Practical experience with systems implementation or the “Tax Technology” side of VAT.
  • Indirect Tax experience with time in an in‑house tax department.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP and experience with VAT compliance software or data analytics tools (e.g., Alteryx, AI tools).
