Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer with 2-5 years of experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining the backend infrastructure that powers our SaaS platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and the optimal performance of our systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with our data and engineering teams to understand and improve the current code repository and dataset structures.
  • Build and optimize our current APIs (RESTful) to enable seamless communication between our platform and client systems.
  • Ensure data integrity and security through the implementation of best practices and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, data scientists, and product managers to integrate backend services with AI/ML models and frontend applications.
  • Implement data processing pipelines to handle large volumes of financial data efficiently.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot backend systems in production, addressing performance bottlenecks.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in backend development, cloud computing, and fintech.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of professional experience in backend development, preferably in fintech or a related industry.
  • Proficiency in Python (primary), with experience in Go, Java, or Node.js as a plus.
  • Familiarity with databases (SQL: PostgreSQL, MySQL; NoSQL: MongoDB, DynamoDB) and data processing frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and event-driven systems.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., OAuth, JWT).
  • Understanding of SaaS architecture and experience building scalable, secure applications.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with AI/ML integration into backend systems, particularly in fintech or risk analysis contexts.
