Verity Healthcare Limited is a domiciliary care company operating with trained care workers who attend to the needs of our service users in their own homes. We work with local authorities, the NHS, CCGs, private hospitals, and private clients. We provide a wide range of care services to help our clients maintain their independence in their homes.
Duties:
- Provide personal care and support to clients with a wide range of needs, illnesses, and disabilities from door to door.
- Assist clients with toileting, continence management, and personal hygiene.
- Assist clients in getting up in the morning and going to bed at night.
- Assist clients with medication at the agreed level of support and as detailed in their Medication Care Needs Assessment.
- Maintain detailed, accurate records concerning care and medication support given and tasks undertaken.
- Prepare food and drink for clients, taking into account likes/dislikes, nutritional needs, and cultural requirements.
- Provide light general household domestic duties, including housework and laundry, as detailed in the care plan or instructed by management.
- Observe all health & safety rules and promote the health and safety of self and others, raising concerns to the Field Care Supervisor.
- Any other duties requested by senior management within the scope of the post.
Skills & Experience:
- Skilled in assisting with bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming while preserving dignity and privacy.
- Experienced in administering medication safely, monitoring health conditions, and following care plans.
- Trained in safe use of hoists, mobility aids, and transferring techniques to prevent injury.
- Builds trusting relationships with clients and families through active listening, empathy, and clear communication.
- Accurately documents care provided using care logs or digital systems, maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.
