Role Overview
As alive-in care worker,you will reside in the service user’s home and deliver continuous support tailored to their individual needs. You will help clients with daily living activities, personal care, medication, household tasks, companionship, and ensuring their well-being and safety at all times.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Personal Care & Health Support
Provide personal care, including washing, bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Assist clients with mobility, getting up in the morning, and going to bed at night. Support with continence management and hygiene needs. Administer or assist with medication in line with the Medication Care Needs Assessment. Monitor health changes and report concerns promptly to senior care staff.
Companionship & Emotional Support
Offer companionship and emotional reassurance. Encourage social interaction, hobbies, and activities that improve well-being. Maintain a warm, supportive, and professional relationship with the client.
Household & Domestic Tasks
Prepare nutritious meals based on the client’s preferences, dietary needs, and cultural requirements.
Carry out light domestic duties, including cleaning, laundry, and household organization.
Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment.
Record Keeping
Maintain clear, accurate daily notes, care logs, medication records, and incident reports.
Follow all care plans and report changes in needs or circumstances.
Health & Safety
Follow all health and safety policies, safeguarding procedures, and infection control guidelines.
Take reasonable care to ensure safety for yourself and the client, and report concerns to the Field Care Supervisor.
Additional Duties
Carry out any reasonable tasks assigned by senior management that fall within the scope of the role.
