Role Overview
The Domiciliary Care Worker will support service users with daily living activities, ensuring their health, comfort, and wellbeing. You will play a vital role in maintaining independence while promoting dignity and respect at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to clients with a range of needs, illnesses, and disabilities.
- Assist clients with toileting, continence management, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Support clients with morning and bedtime routines.
- Administer or assist with medication as outlined in care plans and medication assessments.
- Accurately record all care and medication provided using paper or digital systems.
- Prepare nutritious meals and drinks according to client preferences and dietary needs.
- Perform light household duties, such as laundry and cleaning, in line with care plans.
- Follow health and safety protocols to ensure safe working practices at all times.
- Report any concerns or changes in client condition promptly to the Field Care Supervisor.
Skills & Experience
- Experience providing care and support within domiciliary or residential settings (preferred).
- Skilled in assisting with personal care while maintaining client dignity and privacy.
- Knowledge of safe manual handling and use of mobility aids (training provided).
- Confident in recording accurate notes and following established care plans.
- Empathetic, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality care.
- Kindness, compassion, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to undergo further training and continuous development.
