Full‑Time Contract – 40 hours per week. Part‑time Contract – 20 hours per week. Hourly Pay: £13.10‑£13.60.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to clients with a wide range of needs, illnesses and disabilities from door to door.
- Assist clients with toileting, continence management and personal hygiene.
- Assist clients in getting up in the morning and going to bed at night.
- Assist clients with medication at the agreed level of support as detailed in their Medication Care Needs Assessment.
- Maintain detailed, accurate records concerning care and medication support given and tasks undertaken.
- Prepare food and drink for the client, taking into account likes/dislikes, nutritional needs and cultural requirements.
- Provide light general household domestic duties, including housework and laundry, as detailed in the care plan or instructed by management.
- Observe all health & safety rules, take reasonable care to promote health and safety of self and others, and raise any concerns to the Field Care Supervisor.
- Perform any other duties requested by senior management that are within the scope of the post.
Skills and Experience
- Skilled in assisting with bathing, dressing, toileting and grooming while preserving dignity and privacy.
- Experienced in administering medication safely, monitoring health conditions and following care plans.
- Trained in the safe use of hoists, mobility aids and transferring techniques to prevent injury.
- Builds trusting relationships with clients and families through active listening, empathy and clear communication.
- Accurately documents care provided using care logs or digital systems, maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.
